Organization for Development Solutions (ODS) is an Afghan-Australian led, non-governmental, non-political and not-for-profit organization. ODS takes a bottom-up approach to development and peacebuilding in Afghanistan, focusing on the specific needs of local communities and empowering local voice.

Through this initiative, ODS provided emergency food packages to 144 families.
About Us
ODS aims to meet the specific needs of local communities in Afghanistan. It seeks to address inequalities and work towards promoting the rights of the most vulnerable and isolated groups in society to essential services. Its projects are context-specific and based on consultation with the local people as they know best their communities' specific needs. By taking this approach, ODS aims to empower local voices, ensure their participation in development activities, and enhance local capacity-building efforts.
Our Work
ODS’ two key areas of work are development and peacebuilding in Afghanistan from a local and people-based perspective. In particular, ODS focuses on community capacity-building by increasing access to essential services including education, employment, and healthcare. An empowered and self-sustained community can significantly contribute towards long-lasting peace. Therefore, ODS’ work is aimed at enhancing people’s voices in the peace process and transitional justice.
